Original beautiful photograph

Original but beautiful; an image of Sydney Harbour taken during sunset is a photograph which many can seek relaxation in. Its silhouette qualities contrasting with the strong sunlight which is complimented by the blue sky creates the perfect atmosphere of beauty. This harbour image is an image which I realistically look at everyday as it is a place to gather my thoughts and ideas.

Inspiring Architecture

The Burj Al Arab, Designed by Tom Wright is the world’s tallest 7 star luxury hotel which stands at a height of 321 meters on an artificial Island off the coast of Dubai. It is a modern triumph against the forces of nature as it battles scorching temperatures, wave erosion and sandstorms of in the Arabian Gulf. The Burj Al Arab is simply inspired by the sail boat which resembles the tradition coastal culture of the Dubai people. The iconic design is what makes the Burj Al Arab so appealing in its simplistic form yet such a complex creation.

Creative High School work

This charcoal drawing titled “Just do it!” (Nike slogan) is one of three of my year 12 artworks for 2007. The contrasting tone of light and dark areas was inspired by Robert Dickerson. ‘Just do it!’ expresses the struggle of the developing world against transnational corporations from developed nations such as the United States. As it is one of a collection of three works each artwork has a child accompanied by a parent or older sibling from developing nations such as Thailand, Sri Lanka and India. Each child is subtly wearing a Nike wristband made from the factories that create most of the employment in such nations.
